Patna Metro may become operational from 2019

First metro corridor of capital will be started by 2019 between Mithapur and Rajendranagar Terminal. This metro corridor is being constructed from Mithapur Bus stand to Rajendranagar Terminal via Bypass .The distance of this corridor will be 6 KM . Five station will be made in this route . The first route will be on the road . Urban development and Housing Minister , Suresh Sharma said this in organized workshop with all bodies of the state in Hotel Pataliputra Ashok on Friday .

He said , according to the metro rail policy 2017 , the state government will get final design in the six months , after that the work will be started on first corridor between Mithapur Bus stand and Rajendranagar Terminal .The state government has managed the fund for this . The people of capital will be able to take journey of Metro on this route till 2019 .There will be 5 corridors  in total.
